Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly condoled the demise of former Ministers and Members of the House on the first day of the Winter Session which commenced on Thursday.
Moving the obituary motion in the House, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled the demise of former Minister Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha, former Opposition Deputy Leader Bishnu Sethi, former Minister Golak Bihari Naik and three former Members, Kapil Narayan Tiwari, Gopa Narayan Das and Adikanda Seith, of the House, who passed away in recent months.
Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha, Leader of Opposition Jay Narayan Mishra, leader of Congress Legislature Party Narasingha Mishra and CPM MLA Laxman Munda also condoled the death of former ministers and members of House.
Meanwhile, the Assembly has been adjourned till 5PM today.
