Odisha Assembly Website Shows Pradeep Panigrahi Expelled from BJD
Bhubaneswar: Controversial Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi’s recent out-of-thought claim that he was till with the BJD got a slap as Odisha Legislative Assembly has updated the data on its website with clearly mentioning that Panigrahi, who has been expelled from the ruling party for allegedly his anti-people activities, is not a member of the BJD.
Recently, Pradeep Panigrahi had stirred a controversy by claiming that he was still a BJD legislator as his name and serial number (26) come along with other BJD MLAs.
Even though he was expelled from the BJD in 2020, the same information was not updated in the Assembly website. While it was mentioned that Prashant Jagdev was suspended from the BJD, there was no mention of Panigrahip’s expulsion.
The data has been updated in the Assembly website. The serial orders of the MLAs have been completely updated mentioning that Pradeep Panigrahi has been expelled from the BJD. It is being mentioned that Panigrahi has won the election on BJD ticket and has been expelled from the party.
The serial number of Panigrahi has also been changed from 26 to 79. Similarly, it has been clearly mentioned that Prashant Jagdev has been expelled from the party.
In the 147-Assembly, the strength of BJD is now 112. The BJP has 22 MLAs and Congress 9.
With this, the confusion regarding the membership of Pradeep Panigrahi has come to an end with a clear message that he is no longer a member of the BJD.
