Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is learnt to have approved the State Budget of around Rs 1.50 lakh crore for 2020-21 of on Friday.
The Council of Ministers meet which has been convened at the Lokseva Bhavan here was followed by Cabinet meeting where at least nine proposals moved by different department gave its nod.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will table the Budget in the State Assembly on February 18. Though officials were tight-lipped on the Budget size, the outgo may be around Rs 1.53 lakh crore, including Plan and Non-Plan expenditure. An exclusive Budget for the agriculture sector, an initiative that kicked off in 2013-14 by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will also be tabled.
