Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal is leading in both the Balasore and Tirtol constituencies. In Balasore, till the third round of counting, Swarup Das has secured 10401 votes and was leading by 1486 votes against BJPs Manas Dutta who secured 8915 votes. Congress’s Mamata Kundu got only 256 votes.
In Tirtol, by the end of the 10th round of counting, BJD’s Bijay Shankar Das was leading by 16122 votes against BJP’s Raj Kishore Behera. While Bijay secured cumulative 35092 votes the BJP candidate got 18970 votes. Congress was way behind with only 824 votes.
