Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo and star campaigner Naveen Patnaik today addressed a virtual rally seeking support for his party candidate Bijay Shankar Das in the ensuing by-election to the Tirtol Assembly seat in Jagatsinghpur district.
Naveen, who for the first time held virtual rally in his decades of political career, said that his party is committed for the development of Tirtol. The people of Tirtol have always been with the Biju Janata Dal and will continue to support the party.
Naveen, addressing the people of Tirtol, said that their unwavering support has always inspired the BJD to work for the development of the Tirtol and State.
The BJD supermo said that Odisha has made rapid strides in food security. The State has also been highly appreciated by WHO for its successful handling of COVID-19 pandemic, Naveen added.
Naveen also remembered late Bishnu Dash and said that the late leader had met him many times over the development of Tirtol.
The mothers of Mission Shakti in Tirtol have created a new identity of development, he further said.
The BJD President appealed to the people of Tirtol to bless his party candidate in the upcoming elections.
Naveen also promised to visit Tirtol and see the development work after the COVID-19 situation improves.
The BJD President will address one more virtual rally tomorrow for Balasore Sadar constituency.
