Odisha By-polls: Voting Begins Amid COVID-19 Restrictions
Balasore/Tirtol: Voting for by-polls to Balasore Sadar and Tirtol assembly constituencies has started from 7 AM today adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.
This is the first election in the state after the pandemic.
Keeping pandemic in mind and controlling crowd, the number of voters in each polling booth has been restricted to 1000.
The number of booths in Tirtol constituency has been increased from 265 to 373, and in Balasore Sadar constituency from 198 to 346.
As many as 2,37,282 voters in Tirtol and 2,30,297 voters in Balasore Sadar will be allowed to exercise their franchise between 7 AM and 6 PM.
All booths are being sanitised frequently.
