Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday gave approval to five proposals.
As per the decision, minimum wage of unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly-skilled will be enhanced.
The minimum wage will be hiked to Rs 450 from Rs 352 for unskilled workers, to Rs 500 from Rs 442 for skilled workers and to Rs 600 from Rs 502 for highly skilled workers in the State.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal for the recruitment of over 18,000 teachers in primary and upper primary schools in the State.
A special corpus fund of Rs 200 crore will be created for Odia Asmita Bhawan and Odia Translation Akademi.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal to include 6 lakh more farmers under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
