Odisha CM Condoles Death of Former MP Bhagirathi Majhi

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the death of former Rajya Sabha MP Bhagirathi Majhi.

Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister said that he was saddened to learn about the demise of former MP Bhagirathi Majhi.

Naveen extended his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.

Former Rajya Sabha member Bhagirathi Majhi died at a hospital in Odisha’s Baripada on Monday following a brief illness, according to the reports. He was 66.

ପୂର୍ବତନ ସାଂସଦ ଭାଗୀରଥି ମାଝୀଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଏପରି ଦୁଃଖଦ ସମୟରେ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରୁଛି।

Majhi was elected to Rajya Sabha as a BJP nominee. He was the member of the Upper House of Parliament from March 24, 2006 to July 1, 2010.
