Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled the demise of renowned social activist and labour leader Lalit Nayak, who passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital city.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister expressed that he was saddened to learn about the passing away of Lalit Nayak.
Lalit Nayak will always be remembered for his contribution for the welfare of the people and blood donation campaigns, the CM said.
ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ସମାଜସେବୀ ତଥା ଶ୍ରମିକ ନେତା ଲଳିତ ନାୟକଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଲୋକଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ସହ ରକ୍ତଦାନ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଅବଦାନ ପାଇଁ ସେ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ରହିବେ। ଏପରି ଦୁଃଖଦ ସମୟରେ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରୁଛି।

The Chief Minister conveyed his deep sympathy to the grieving family and prayed peace to the departed soul.
Notably, Nayak was associated with several social organisations. Nayak was also the president of several unions, such as Western Odisha Shramik Sangha, Electric Employees Association and Auto-Rickshaw Association in Bolangir district.
