Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated two brave hearts who saved the life of a child in Jajapur district.
Sk. Tasif Raja and Md. Soyaib were felicitated by the Chief Minister at Lok Seva Bhawan here for saving life of six-year-old child Abul Ruman Khan in Sadakpur village of Jajpur district.
The duo showcased exceptional courage and saved the life of Abul who was drowned in a pond while returning home from his school on Ganesh Chaturthi.
Raja and Soyaib, both 8h class students from Fazalpur village in the same district, jumped into the pond risking their own lives when they found Abul was drowning and saved his life.
Highly appreciating the act of bravery of the duo, the Chief Minister felicitated them along with Abul at the Lok Seva Bhavan.
Naveen gave the boys books, study materials and chocolates in the presence of Jajpur MP Sarmista Sethi, Korei MLA Ashok Bal, Chief Advisor (CMO) R Balakrishnan.
