Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today flagged off 84 numbers of Basic Life Support Ambulances on virtual mode.
Carrying 108 number, these ambulances will serve at all corners of the State.
Wishing a happy & prosperous new year to all, the Chief Minister said that the Government is committed to improve the health services and this objective is a focus of the Five T initiatives and Mo Sarkar.
Speaking that there is already a significant improvement in the functioning of health centres and hospitals, the chief Minister advised to create new benchmarks in the standard of medical services.
He also advised to train the ambulance staff to handle the patients and relatives empathetically. He stressed on use of technology for intensive monitoring of service parameters of ambulance services.
Minister for Health & Family Welfare Naba Das welcomed the Chief Minister. ACS Health PK Mohapatra briefed on the ambulance services. Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian moderated the programme.
Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, DC PK Jena and other senior officers were present.
