Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik held a mega roadshow here on Wednesday to seek support for his party candidates in the ensuing simultaneous elections.
This was the third roadshow of the BJD supremo in the capital city.
In a specially-designed bus, Naveen canvassed for the BJD in the grand roadshow this evening as the people had congregated on both sides of the main thoroughfare of the city in massive number to greet him.
The roadshow passed through Saliasahi Petrol Pump Square, Xavier Square, Mayfair Biju Patnaik Statue Square, BDA Sai Temple, Chandrasekharpur Petrol Pump Square and Damana before culminating at Patia Square in the city.
The BJD President waved at the cheering crowd on both sides of the road.
Addressing them on the occasion, Naveen highlighted various welfare schemes of his government and the poll promises made by the BJD.
“There will be no electricity bill from this July. You all will get BSKY heath cards to avail cashless treatment at hospitals,” the CM said.
BJD star campaigner Kartik Pandian accompanied the Chief Minister during the roadshow.
The BJD candidates, senior leaded and workers participated in the roadshow.
Earlier, the BJD supremo had held his first roadshow in the capital city on May 16 and the second one on May 20 to further strengthen his party’s position for the elections.
