Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid his humble tributes to great freedom fighter and patriot, Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai on his birth anniversary today.

Lala Lajpat Rai was born on January 28th in 1865. He is popularly known as ‘Punjab Kesari’ or the ‘Lion of Punjab’. He was a great leader, historian, eminent editor, social and religious reformer, and powerful orator. Lala Lajpat Rai along with Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal formed the trinity of militant leaders ‘Lal-Bal-Pal’.
