Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Population Day today Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reiterated his commitment to nurture human resource with investment on education, training and healthcare, with special focus on vulnerable to build a powerful nation.

“On World Population Day, reiterate pledge to nurture our human resource with investment on education, training & healthcare, with special focus on vulnerable to build a powerful nation”, the CM expressed.

On July 11, the World Population Day is observed in an attempt to raise awareness about the trend of growing global population and its implications. It was established in 1989 by the governing council of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The World Population Day 2020 focuses on multiple challenges – health, economic and social – that people across the world are facing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
