Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today thanked Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and doctors at AIIMS who worked relentlessly towards post-separation surgery recovery of the conjoined twins Jaga-Balia.
Odisha’s conjoined twins, who spent over two years at the premier hospital undergoing complicated marathon surgeries for separation of their heads, were discharged from the hospital on Friday and will be admitted to the SCB Cuttack for further medical assistance.
The Odisha Chief Minister, who had earlier visited the twins at AIIMS after they were separated, has expressed satisfaction over the post-separation surgery recovery of the conjoined twins.
“In Odisha, we will ensure that the miracle children recover fully and have a normal and happy childhood”, Naveen tweeted.</p

Notably, the Odisha Government had sanctioned rupees one crore for the treatment of Jaga-Balia.
