Odisha CM Urges Young Generation to Read, Know and Understand Gandhi

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the second State Book Fair ‘Akhyara’ dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged the young generation to read, know and understand Gandhi and work for a better world.

Addressing the gathering at IDCO Exhibition Ground here, Naveen said, “I am very glad to join the “Akhyara” Book Fair. As you know, we are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is a matter of joy that, on this occasion, a special platform on Gandhiji has been opened on this subject in Odisha.”

“Gandhiji was a prolific writer and every piece of his writings carries the message of humanity and sparkles with positivity. I wish our young generation read, know and understand Gandhi and work for a better world”, the CM said.

“Book fair is a fair of knowledge. I hope Akhyara will go a long way in inculcating new ideals of knowledge in people”, he added.
