Odisha Coast Becomes a Favourite Rookery for Olive Ridley Turtles: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Odisha coast has become a favourite rookery for Olive Ridely turtles due to the continued conservation efforts, unflinching dedication of volunteers and awareness campaign, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.

On the occasion of World Turtle Day, the Chief Minister appealed all to take pledge to create a safe nesting cove for the endangered species.

“With our continued conservation efforts, unflinching dedication of volunteers & awareness campaign, Odisha coast has become a favourite rookery for Olive Ridley turtles. On World Turtle Day, let’s all pledge to welcome them & create a safe nesting cove for the endangered species”, the CM tweeted.
