New Delhi: Odisha has dominated the IndiaSkills 2021 Nationals, the biggest skill competition in the country organized y the National Skill Development Corporation under the guidance of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
The Skilled-in-Odisha youths have come up with flying colors by winning maximum number of medals at the mega closed-door competition, which saw participation in 54 skills such as concrete construction work, beauty therapy, car painting, health and social care, visual merchandising, graphic design technology, wall & floor tiling, welding, among others.
With a total of 51 medals including 10 Gold, 18 Silver, 9 Bronze and 14 medallion of excellence, the SkilledInOdisha champs swept the national competition with élan.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his happiness and said that it was possible by shared vision and collective hard work.
The Chief Minister also conveyed his best wishes as Odisha is sending largest contingent to WorldSkills Shanghai, China to be held in October 2022..

IndiaSkills 2021 Nationals concluded on Monday with more than 150 participants being felicitated by Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India.
IndiaSkills Competition, which raises the profile and recognition of the youth, brought together over 500 participants from 25states this year.
Last year the “Skilled-in-Odisha” youths swept most of the skills in India Skills 2021 Eastern Region competition held at Patna by winning 23 Gold Medals and 20 Silver Medals ahead of other competing states.
