Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is all set to retain power for the fifth consecutive term with landslide victory in the Odisha Assembly elections 2019.
According to the trends in the counting of votes in Odisha elections 2019, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led BJD is leading in 110 seats, while its rivals BJP and Congress are leading in 23 and 12 seats respectively.
In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJD is leading in 15 and the BJP in 6 seats.
The BJD had 117 members in the outgoing Assembly, Congress had 16 while BJP 10 members.
