Odisha Extends Lockdown Till June 1st; Relaxation Window Reduced To Four Hours

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has extended the lockdown imposed in the state till June 1st in order to break the chain of Covid infections. Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra made this announcement today. With theis , the government has also made changes in the relaxation given. From now onwards the relaxation will be given from 7 am to 11 am only.

The weekend shutdown in the state will continue as before. The decision has been taken at a time when the state is witnessing a Plateauing trend in the last few days and the positivity rate is also decreasing slowly. Experts had called for another lockdown to completely break the chain.
