Odisha: Fire Service Dept to Conduct Safety Audit at All COVID Facilities Every Fortnight

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Fire Service Department will conduct fire safety audit and emergency drill at all the COVID facilities of the State once every fortnight.

The fire safety audit and emergency drill will be carried out to respond to any fire mishaps with the available resources, the Department said.

“The audit-cum-inspections of the COVID facilities are to be held once in every fortnight under your respective jurisdictions. Please note that the objectives of the fire audit and emergency drill are advisory and educative in nature to respond to any fire incident swiftly with the available resources,” the Fire Services Directorate informed the officers.

Earlier, the Department had conducted a mock drill at various COVID-19 designated hospitals in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack after a fire mishap at Sadhguru COVID-19 hospital in Jagatpur, Cuttack.
