Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s noted freedom fighter Dayanidhi Nayak died today at the age of 95.
Nayak was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bargarh district due to age-related ailments for the last one month.
The freedom fighter breathed his last at around 7.30 am today. He is survived by his only daughter Swarupa Nayak.
Nayak was among 32 foot soldiers from Panimara, the village of “Freedom Fighters” in Bargarh district.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, he had joined the Quit India Movement.
