Odisha Gets “Most Improved Big State for Cleanliness” Award

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has been conferred with “Most Improved Big State for Cleanliness” award by India Today Group at the India Today State of the States Conclave 2019 in New Delhi on Thursday.

Odisha Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water, Law, Housing & Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena received the prestigious award on behalf of Chef Minister Naveen Patnaik from Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Speaking on the occasion, Jena said, “Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik ji , Odisha is on the fast pace of inclusive growth and development setting National and Global benchmarks for others to emulate.”

“We are humbled by this recognisation, which adds another feather to our cap. We will be further encouraged to strive hard to create a clean, green and beautiful new Odisha,” he added.
