Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Friday approved six industrial projects from various sectors worth Rs 854.17 crore.
The projects got approval at the 116th meeting of State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) chaired by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena.
These projects would generate over 2,167 employment opportunities for the people, as per official sources.
Investment intent from four of these projects were received during Make in Odisha Conclave 2022.The projects spread across diverse sectors like Metal downstream, IT & ESDM, Infrastructure and Food Processing received approvals.
The approved projects will be set up across various parts of the state including Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, and Khordha districts.
The committee has given its nod to 3 projects in the Infrastructure Sector, 1 project in Steel Sector, 1 project in the IT & ESDM sector, and 1 project in the Food Processing sector.
The SLSWCA approved the proposal of Transtek Coal Minerals Private Limited, entailing an investment of Rs 380.25 crore to be set up a Multi Modal Logistics Park in Khordha district.
The committee also approved the proposal of Nirmal Wires Private Limited at Jajpur district, which promises an investment of Rs 200 crore.
Apart from these two projects, the SLSWCA approved 2 other projects in the infrastructure sector of Aegis Logistics Limited and Bhubaneswar Logixpress Warehousing Llp .
Aegis Logistics Limited plans to setup a Greenfield Tank Storage Facility for liquid and gas products of 50,000 TPA capacity. Bhubaneswar Logixpress Warehousing Llp’s proposal includes warehousing cum logistics park including assembling.
In the IT & ESDM sector, the committee gave a nod to one project by Secureyes Techno Services Private Limited. With an investment of Rs 75 crore, The company proposes to set up a Global Cyber Security Delivery Center.
In the Food Processing sector, the government approved the proposal of OVO Farm Private Ltd to set up a manufacturing unit for whole egg powder in the Food Park at Sadeipali in Bolangir district with an investment of Rs 50.5 crore.
