Bhubaneswar: Bringing a revolution in the healthcare sector, the Odisha Government has distributed over 10 lakh Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Cards to the beneficiaries across the State.
The BSKY Smart Health Card, which is the first of its kind service in the country, enables the beneficiary get access to medical services at all Government hospitals of the State and more than 200 private hospitals of the State and outside without any financial problem.
Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
Ever since launch of the Smart Health Cards in August, the State Government has distributed over 10 lakh smart cards to the needy people across the State.
Expressing satisfaction over it, the Chief Minister said, “Every life is precious to us. I am sure it will assure healthcare of the vulnerable and give relief to people from financial burden for accessing quality healthcare”.
In a Twitter post, Naveen wrote “Glad to share that 10 lakh Biju Swasthya KalyanYojana Smart Cards have been distributed across Odisha. Every life is precious to us. I am sure it will assure healthcare of the vulnerable & give relief to people from financial burden for accessing quality healthcare”.
