Bhubaneswar: In a welcome news for the State Government employees and pensioners ahead of festive season, they will get salary and pension earlier for the month of August.
The Odisha Government has decided to release salaries for its employees and pension for the retired employees on August 31 in view of the consecutive holidays on September 1 and 2 before Nuakhai festival on September 3.
A decision to this effect has been taken by the Finance Department and has been apprised to all district Collectors, sources said.
