Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today announced the extend of the retirement age of contractual doctors to 70 years from 68.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das made this announcement at the two-day Chief District Medical Officers’ (CDMOs) conference here.
The Minister insisted the officials to prepare a list of retired doctors district-wise by July 15.
He also directed the CDMOs to find out the number of retired doctors in their respective districts for appointment them as contractual doctors in order to bridge staff shortage at the primary health centers in the State.
