Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to build 3000-km-stretch rural road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) using ‘Green Technology’ this year, informed Rural Development Minister Susanta Singh.
In reply to a question of Keonjhar MLA Mohan Charan Majhi during the ongoing Budget Session of Assembly, Singh said that the State Government has set the target of constructing 7000 km-stretch rural road in the current fiscal 2019-20 under the PMGSY, of which 3000 km-stretch will be built using ‘Green Technology’.
The estimated cost of 3000-km-stretch rural road will be Rs 3936.04 crore, the Minister informed the House.
The proposed 3000 km-stretch rural road will be constructed by using cold mix, Terazyme, ironslag, Envirotac, cement stabilization, waste plastic, panel concrete, cell-filled concrete, Nano technology and roller compacted concrete, he said.
