Odisha Govt Plans to Increase +2 Seats in Higher Secondary Schools 

Bhubaneswar: Considering the high percentage of success rate in matriculation examination, the Odisha Government is planning to increase the number of Plus II seats in the higher secondary schools.

School and Mass Education Minister Pramila Mallik informed that if necessary, the government will increase the number of seats in Plus II if the need arises.

Notably, the results of the Annual Matriculation Examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education were declared on May 18. This year the pass percentage stood at 96.40 percent.

The State Government will increase the Plus II seats if the need arises. Necessary measures will be taken to ensure that no student suffers, the Minister said.

The Government is considering all aspects of the situation and we will soon announce the decision, she said.
