Odisha Govt Provided Rs 231 Cr. Financial Assistance to Construction Workers

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has provided financial assistance of Rs. 1500 each to 15 Lakh 39 thousand 618 registered construction workers during lockdown, informed, Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department, Sanjay Singh here today.

He further informed that the Government has disbursed as many as Ra 231 crore as financial assistance to the construction workers.

Throwing light in the registration of migrant labourers for their return, Singh said, the State Government has launched a dedicated portal for mandatory registration of migrants and others who want to return to Odisha from other States (by means of Air/ Train/ Road) after the Lockdown is over.

Singh also informed the detail about district-wise data of COVID-19 positive cases and recovered cases in Odisha as on 24th April.
