Odisha Govt Provides One Month Additional Pension to Beneficiaries in 5 Fani-hit Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Monday approved additional pension of one month to all the beneficiaries under Madhubabu Pension Yojana (MPY) and National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) in five cyclone Fani-hit districts.

The beneficiaries in affected districts of Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Khurda will receive the additional one month pension.

An amount of Rs 48, 91, 11, 370 has been sanctioned for the purpose, sources said.

The rarest of rare summer cyclone Fani left a trail of destruction behind in  Odisha after it made landfall on May 3 in the State.
