Odisha Govt Reconstitutes Task Force to Suggest Measures for Implementation of National Education Policy 2020

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has reconstituted the task force to suggest measures for implementation of National Education Policy (NEP-2020).

An official notification has been issued by the School & Mass Education Department in this regard.

As per the notification, the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary will be the Chairperson of the task force, which will have 13 Ex-officio Members and Expert Members as Special Invitees from UNICEF, Central Square Foundation (CSF), AKSHARA Foundation, Language Learning Foundation (LLF), PRATHAM, and Nominee from Higher Education Department.

“…. after careful consideration, Government have been pleased to reconstitute the Task Force as follows under the Chairmanship of DC-cum-ACS to suggest the measures to be taken up for implementation of NEP-2020 in the State of Odisha”, the notification reads.

Further, Six Thematic Sub-Committees have been reconstituted to deal with different components of NEP-2020 with representatives from other Departments, Directorates functioning under S&ME Department and Experts in the field of Education as Special Invitees,” it said.

The Chairperson may Invite other Experts / relevant persons to participate in any particular meeting of the Committee / Sub-Committee for discussion in any specific issues on the smooth implementation of NEP-2020, the notification added.
