Odisha-Mo Parivar Rescues 42 B.Ed Students Stranded in Andhra

Bhubaneswar: At least 42 students from Odisha who were stranded in Prakasham district in Andhra Pradesh following lockdown returned to state today after the intervention of Odisha-Mo Parivar .

The ordeal of the students came to fore  on social media and news channels that because of the lockdown 42 Bachelor of Education students from Odisha were stranded state in Prakasham district of Andhra Pradesh.

The matter was also pursued and brought to the notice of Arup Patnaik, Convenor Odisha-Mo Parivar by Bhadrak MLA, Sanjib Mallick, Bhadrak MP, Manjulata Mandal and Minster Culture, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi and he further informed regarding this to Chief Minister’s Office.

After getting information about the ordeal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed that the students must be brought back to their native places at any cost.

According to reports, the Chief Secretary Odisha then contacted his counterpart in Andhra Pradesh and requested him to intervene in the matter. After his intervention, the local administration in Prakasham district reached out to the students and conducted a health check-up and certified that the students were healthy and good to travel.

The students have boarded the APSRTC buses on March 24 at around 10:40 PM.

All the students have expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Local Administration in Prakasham, the Chief Secretaries of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh and the Odisha- MoParivar Team for extending necessary support in the condition of distress.
