Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to restructure the pay of ‘Odisha Nursing Service Cadre’ for smooth and efficient functioning of healthcare facilities.
This has been informed by the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
Due to the increase in the number of health facilities and patient load in Government hospitals, after careful consideration, the State Government has decided to restructure the pay of ‘Odisha Nursing Service Cadre’ in the following manner:
The detailed analysis of the Restructured Odisha Nursing Service Cadre :
1. Out of sanctioned strength of 28285 in the post of Nursing Officers in the Scale of Pay of Rs.29,200-92,3001- (Level-8 under ORSP Rules, 2017), 11943 posts shall stand abolished in lieu of creation of 11934 posts at different levels in the cadre hierarchy leaving 16342 posts at base level and the employees holding the posts are eligible to be upgraded to Pay Level-9 automatically on completion of 3 years of service from the date of their initial joining.
2. There shall be creation of 7997 posts of Senior Nursing Officer (SNO) at Pay Level-10, which is the 1st promotional hierarchy.
3. The existing 381 posts of issistant Nursing Superintendent (ANS) shall be upgraded to the Pay Level-1 1. In addition to this, 3255 posts of Assistant Nursing Superintendent (ANS) at the same Pay Level shall be created arriving at total 3636 posts, which is the 2nd promotional hierarchy.
4. The existing 1B posts of Deputy Nursing Superintendent (DNS) at Pay Level-11 shall be upgraded to the Pay Level-12. |n addition to this, 588 posts of Deputy Nursing Superintendent at the same Pay Level shall be created arriving at total 606 posts, which is the 3’d promotional hierarchy.
5. The existing 7 posts of Nursing Superintendent (NS) at Pay Level-12 shall be upgraded to the Pay Level-13. In addition to this, 94 posts of Nursing Superintendent at the same Pay Level shall be created arriving at total 101 posts, which is the 4th promotional hierarchy.
6. The existing 1 (one) post of Deputy Director, Nursing (Clinical) at the Pay Level13 shall be redesignated as Deputy Director, Nursing, which is the 5th promotional hierarchy.
7. The existing 1(one) post of Joint Director, Nursing (Cl’inical) at the Pay Level-14 shall be re-designated as Joint Director, Nursing, which is the 6th promotional hierarchy.
B. The existing 1 (one) post of Assistant Director, Nursing (Clinical) at Pay Level-10 shall stand abolished.
g. The total cadre strength of the Nursing Officers will be 28684 after restructuring.
The Nursing Officers and Senior Nursing Officers perform the same job.
The Nursing Superintendent (NS) and the Deputy Director, Nursing shall be of the same rank.
