Odisha Govt Seeks Report on Baliapal BDO Misconduct Incident

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has sought a report on the alleged misbehave by Baliapal block development officer (BDO) with migrants in Balasore district.

Panchayati Raj and Law Minister Pratap Jena said that Balasore Collector has been asked to submit a report about the incident.

Necessary action will be taken based on the report, the Minister while adding that investigation is on in the incident.

Notably, Baliapal BDO Chhabirani Sahoo had allegedly misbehaved with migrant workers, who returned to her block from Surat.

The BDO got angry and misbehaved after a group of workers demanded water and sought to know about arrangements made for them at the local quarantine centre.

The video of the incident went viral on the social media.
