Odisha Govt Serves Notice to 82 Schools for Zero Results in Matric Exam

Cuttack: The Odisha Government on Thursday served a notice to 82 schools that recorded zero results in the annual Class 10 examinations conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) this year, informed a minister.
After a meeting with board authorities here, School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash said he will visit the schools and review the reason behind the poor show in the annual board exam.
Necessary steps will be taken accordingly, he said while adding that a proposal was also put forth at the meeting for introduction of Spoken English course in the schools.
The minister also said that he would focus on strengthening the secondary education in the state.
“Government schools in the state are losing credibility these days, which has become a challenge for us. I will take every required step to rekindle people’s faith on the schools,” he stressed.
