Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will launch a new scheme known as Gajabandhu Yojana for the safety of elephants.
Talking about it, Chief Wildlife Warden Ajay Kumar Mahapatra said that people will be engaged under the new scheme.
Any person giving information about the movement of elephants will be given cash rewards, he said.
Apart from it, speed CCTVs and speed breakers will be installed in elephant corridors across the state, the official added.
