Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government is mulling to revise norms of payment to teachers for evaluation of answer sheets.
The step is part of the reforms in Higher Education department in the State.
Informing this, Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo said that the payment of examination answer sheet evaluators will be increased in the State.
The decision was taken at a high level meeting chaired by the Minister.
The payment of teachers, who are preparing the questions for the examinations, will also be increased, sources said.
The teachers will be paid Rs 30 each for answer sheet evaluation.
Similarly, the payment of teachers for preparation of examination questions will be hiked from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.
Sahoo also urged the officials to set up one evaluation centre for examination answer sheets.
According to the revised norm, 15 colleges will have one evaluation centre.
