Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will construct as many as 1576 new Anganwadi centres in tribal areas where people are facing acute malnutrition in the State, informed Women & Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahoo.
There are 62,171 Anganwadi centres and 10,416 Mini Anganwadi centres in Odisha.
The State Government had sent a proposal to the Centre to open 7,844 new Anganwadi centres.
However, the Centre has asked the State Government to resend the proposal after reviewing it.
