Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over some districts of Odisha during March 16 to 18, informed the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Giving weather forecast for next five days, the Metrological Centre said that day temperature is expected to rise around 3 to 4 degree Celsius during the next two to three days and there would be no large change thereafter.
Maximum temperature (day temperature) will be above normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at one or two places over the districts of Odisha during March 16 to 18, it added.
Forecast for Odisha during next five days:
Day 1 to Day 5 (Valid upto 0830 Hrs IST of 20.3.2022): Dry weather is mostly likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
Maximum Temperature Forecast: Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise around 3 to 4 degree Celsius during the next 2 to 3 days and no large change thereafter. Maximum temperature will be above normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at one or two places over the districts of Odisha during March 16 to 18.

Yellow warning (be updated): Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nayagarh, Khordha, Balasore and Mayurbhanj
Day -4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.3.2022 to 0830 hrs IST of 19.3.2022:
Yellow warning (be updated): Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Angul, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda
Heat is tolerable for general public but moderate health concern for vulnerable people, the Metrological Centre added.
