Sambalpur: The authorities of Hirakud dam have decided to release the season’s first floodwater from the reservoir on July 28.
The gates of the Hirakud dam will be opened at 9 am on Sunday to release excess floodwater, the dam authorities informed.
The inflow of water into the reservoir is 2,14,993 cusecs while the outflow is 35,635 cusecs, as per reports.
