Bhubaneswar: Odisha InfraTech Pvt Ltd has grabbed land from people at Sarua in Khordha district, said ADG Crime Branch Soumendra Priyadarsi here today.
In a press briefing, Priyadarsi said that the preliminary investigation reveals that Odisha InfraTech has illegally grabbed land from people in Sarua illegally.
He said that the income tax department has also been asked to investigate the matter.
Earlier on Monday, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch arrested one more person associated with the Odisha Infratech, owned by BJP national vice-president Baijayant Panda and his wife Jagi Mangat Panda, in connection with the alleged Sarua land scam.
The EOW had arrested Manoranjan Sarangi, one of the Directors of OITL and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of OTV Network Ltd, for his alleged involvement in the land scam.
