Odisha: ITDA Project Administrator Arrested for Possessing DA

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday nabbed Biswadarsi Sahoo, the Project Administrator of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Bonai in Sundargarh district for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets beyond his known sources of income.

During the searches conducted on properties of Sahoo, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 1 multi storeyed building & 2 flats (Rs.1.50 Crore advanced to purchase one flat) at BBSR, 9 high value plots, gold 150 gms, cash Rs.4.51 lakh, deposits over Rs.61 lakhs, etc, which he could not explain satisfactorily.

As Sahoo failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these assets, he was arrest, the Vigilance said.

In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS case has been registered against Sahoo. The investigation of the case is in progress, the Vigilance added.
