Bhubaneswar: In view of overwhelming response to the ongoing Marine Drive Eco-Retreat at the Ramchandi beach near Konark, the Odisha Government has decided to extend the mega tourism event till February 15, according to reports.
The Eco-Retreat, which is said to be the first ‘Glamping’ festival in eastern India, was supposed to conclude on January 31.
However, the Tourism Department has extend the festival till February 15.
The Tourism Department has also decided to organize a two-day conclave of all Tourism ministers and secretaries on January 23 and 24 to promote it across the country.
Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the conclave, which will be attended by Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel.
The Marine Drive Eco-Retreat aims at promoting the tourism of the State. The festival features luxury cottages, delectable cuisine, beach spa, adventure and water sports activities, nature trails and wholesome day itineraries, cultural evenings etc.
