Odisha Mo Parivar Collects 793 Units of Blood through Jeevan Bindu Program

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mo Parivar has collected 793 units of blood through its Jeevan Bindu program in order to meet blood shortage amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the State.

Odisha Mo Parivar, which is the social service wing of the ruling Biju Janata Dal, has organised blood donation camps across the State under its flagship program Jeevan Bindu on Tuesday on the occasion of Republic Day.

The program received overwhelming response from the people.

“We request every one to join hands and donate blood to save lives”, the Odisha Mo Parivar appealed.

Notably, the Jeevan Bindu program was launched by BJD on March 5, 2015 to mark the 99th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.

The program has now turned into a ‘People’s Movement’ in Odisha, achieving the goal of ensuring that no needy person is deprived of the life-saving blood in the State.
