Odisha Mo Parivar’s Jiban Bindu Programme Gets Overwhelming Response, Collects 14,839 Units of Blood amid COVID-19 Pandemic
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mo Parivar has set a milestone by collecting more than 14,000 units of blood through its weeklong Jiban Bindu programme to meet the shortage of blood amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the State.
In response to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s clarion call for social service, the ruling Biju Janata Dal’s Odisha Mo Parivar team organized mega blood donation camps under the Jiban Bindu programme on the occasion of August Kranti Divas from August 9 to 15 across the State.
The programme has received an overwhelming response with people from all walks of life voluntarily participating and donating blood for a noble cause.
As many as 14,839 units of blood were collected through the weeklong programme that ended on August 15.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has highly appreciated the Odisha Mo Parivar for the milestone stating that nothing is more virtuous than saving the lives of the people by donating blood.
