Odisha: Over 1.91 Lakh Frontline Workers Registered for COVID-19 Vaccination in Second Phase

Bhubaneswar: As many as 1,91,243 frontline workers have been registered for the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination in Odisha.

The frontline workers, who enrolled for vaccination the Co-WIN portal for covid-19 vaccination programme so far, include 1.56 lakh police, paramilitary and defence personnel, around 26,000 municipal workers and 8,500 revenue officials, according to reports.

The Odisha Government has extened extended deadline for registration till January 31.

The enumeration of the beneficiaries was commenced early this month and it was to be completed by January 25.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department, the prioritised age group population above 50 years and persons below 50 years with associated comorbidities will be covered in the third phase.
