Bhubaneswar: Odisha has received 28% deficit rainfall from June 1 to July 19, according to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
The State has received 300.9 mm rainfall against the normal rainfall of 416.7 mm during the period.
As many as 19 districts, including Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Balangir, Boudh, Subarnapur, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Balasore, Sambalpur, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharasuguda, Bargarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar recorded deficit rainfall of 20 to 59% from June 1 to July 19.
Bhadrak district has recorded the highest deficit rainfall. The district has received 149 mm rainfall till date, which is 60% less than the normal rainfall.
Koraput is the only district, which has received more than the average rainfall. The district has recorded 422.2 mm rainfall against the normal rainfall of 400 mm.
