Odisha Receives 9.43 Lakh Doses of Covishield Vaccine

Bhubaneswar: Odisha today received 9.43 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine.

This has been informed by Director of Family Welfare Bijay Kumar Panigrahi.

A consignment of 1 lakh Covishield arrived in the State on Thursday.

Notably, the vaccination drive has been disrupted in 17 districts of the State on Friday due to shortage of vaccines.

The districts are Angul, Balangir, Balasore Bhadrak, Boudh, Cuttack, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kendrapada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Rayagada and Sonepur.
On Thursday, the Government had to halt the inoculation drive in 16 districts on Thursday and 11 districts on Wednesday.
