Bhubaneswar: Kudos to the Odisha Government for its Covid-19 management, as the State has been witnessing a downward trend in the Coronavirus caseload in last four consecutive days.
On Tuesday, Odisha reported 2,275 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, lowest in the month of October so far and has recorded fourth consecutive day fall in a single day.
While, the number of new cases was 2,423 on Monday, it was 2,546 on Sunday and 2,854 on Saturday.
Of the 2,275 new cases reported by the government on Tuesday, 1,318 are in quarantine and 957 are local contacts.
Among the districts, Khordha led the tally with 364 new cases, followed by Sundargarh (150), Cuttack (144), Angul (136), Balasore (111), Mayurbhanj (110), Jharsuguda (100), Jajpur (82), Balangir (77), Puri (71), Nuapada (69), Kendrapada (68), Kalahandi (64), Bargarh (64), Sambalpur (56), Jagatsinghpur (55), Malkangiri (53), Bhadrak (50), Sonepur (50), Kandhamal (50), Koraput (39), Nabarangpur (39), Keonjhar (37), Ganjam (36), Rayagada (33), Nayagarh (31), Dhenkanal (27), Boudh (21), Deogarh (15) and Gajapati (6).
According to the Heath Department dashboard, Out of the 2,56,937 confirmed positive cases in Odisha so far, 25,635 are active cases and 2,30,192 patients have already been recovered.
The positivity rate meanwhile has decreased from 8.53% to 6.32% in last 10 days, reveals data from Health Department Dashboard.
The COVID-19 positive cases in the worst effected district like Ganjam, Khordha, Cuttack and Puri are in decreasing trend.
The health experts, however cautioned that the people should not be overjoy by the decreasing positive caseloads in the state.
